Design Philosophy
While No Irritation Irrigation has existed as a company since 2000, Neal Wilcomer brings to it over twenty-four years of experience in irrigation and landscape design and installation.
While Neal keeps up with the latest in irrigation technology, he combines that new knowledge with the experience of knowing what has worked best in the past. His knowledge and experience allows him to design an irrigation system that is right for your situation.

Drip irrigation has become very popular, but it's not right for every situation. It's fine for watering a greenbelt along a fence or boxwood hedge, but spray is more like the rain plants evolved with: it waters all the soil, making it all available for roots to nourish the plant. Spray irrigation systems can be designed so they use no more water than a drip system, with better reliability and easier maintenance.
Neal understands the importance of working neatly while a job is in progress, keeping scattered soil and damaged plants to a minimum. While it is necessary to dig into the soil to repair or install an irrigation system, rest assured that while he works, and afterwards, your property will be kept looking as neat as possible.
Water belongs on the soil, not in the gutter: Neal has found that one of the best ways to save water is to install a controller and upgrade your irrigation system.
He can perform an irrigation check, which is to check your irrigation system and perform some repairs on the spot. This includes checking for leaks, adjusting heads to make sure water is pointed in the right direction, and setting the controller to water plants the right amount: no more, no less.
Another thing that can save water is to mulch the shrub beds, as this holds the water in the soil that would otherwise be lost to evaporation. Mulching also helps to loosen up the soil so the water can go down deeper into it.
